Happy Monday to all!
Sun is shinning, the leaves are falling, and the temperature is crispy! Ah fall, what a season.
Just got back from one of our big client's and saw something very interesting. They have commissioned a outside company to install a large number of paintings which are hanging in the hallways and meeting rooms through out the building.
The idea is that each artwork is for sale, and has a price attached with a small blurb about the artist. Each painting can be purchased by anyone going working in the building, or going through the building.
I personally thought MOST were priced higher than what I would have expected, and out of the 100 or so hanging, there were 2 that I would have considered purchasing for myself, or any of my client's.
It was an idea that I though might work, but after seeing it in a real application, I have to say I have my doubts. Just to much variety for the place they were hung.
I believe that art should be displayed, but there comes a time when you can have to much in a space that is to small!
More to come.
